Life Care Planning
Life care planning is a holistic, family and elder centered approach to legal matters, which compliments our traditional law practice. Our goal is to promote wellness, good health and safety, and to focus on quality of life issues of elders and their families. We help families respond to the challenges presented when elderly loved ones are diagnosed with a chronic or debilitating illness.

Life care planning is inter-disciplinary and identifies present and future care needs. Rather than being crisis-oriented, life care planning fosters on-going family relationships with us and includes estate planning, asset protection planning, qualifying for public benefits, health care and financial decision making, care advocacy, and crisis intervention and support.
Our life care planning helps you understand your options for care arrangements, handles the legal work to assist loved ones in planning their estates and appointing agents for health care and financial matters, and assists in finding and paying for the right care. Beyond that the program offers support to those who are aging at home, linking you with community services and serving as your advocate.
In addition to traditional tax planning, Medicaid planning and estate planning (wills, financial powers of attorney and health care directives), we can also help with the following:
- Assistance in Locating and Moving into a Long Term Care Residential Living Facility
- Working as part of a Geriatric Care Team
- Assessment, Review and Advocacy with health care issues
- Arranging and participating in Family Meetings
- Scheduled Client Follow Up and Monitoring health care concerns
- Assistance with engaging Hospice
- Assistance in Home Maintenance/Safety/Inspection
- Assessing and analyzing Reverse Mortgage and Downsizing options
- Reviewing Insurance coverage
- Assistance with Banking and Bill Paying
